In addition to Between The Lines, other productions include iconic Hindi play Adhe Adhure (which has been staged since the sixties) and Dance Like A Man. We wanted to do specially filmed versions with the right lighting and sound while still preserving the live experience.”ĬinePlay has produced five plays so far and has fifteen productions in the pipeline. Maskara also says that while he had seen some international references of recorded versions of plays, “I never found them engaging since they were mostly recordings of a live performance for an audience. STORY Study Abroad: The Top 15 International Film Schools “That got me thinking about doing a specially filmed version of the play so that it could be shared with a wider audience.” “We had about 40 house full shows and had requests for another 30 or so performances but due to various logistical reasons, we couldn’t do more shows,” Maskara – who has a background as a serial entrepreneur and angel investor – told The Hollywood Reporter. ![]() The idea came into being when Maskara and Das co-starred in their 2012 English play Between The Lines which revolved around a lawyer couple who end up arguing on opposite sides of a criminal trial, blurring their personal and professional lives. ![]() Future plans include marketing the concept via digital and other platforms to target a global audience. ![]() This way no one character needs to be unbelievably perfect but we can still have clear-cut heroes. With my own writing, I tend towards having a group of people with their own flaws and strengths, who collectively figure out how to do the right thing. I'm open to a lot of different possibilities of what this new mythic hero looks like in practice. So I think that's a decent starting point. But I think I at least know how that person differs from Aragorn and from Ned Stark. Obviously, it's extremely difficult to know exactly what an ethically excellent person looks like. I think you've found a seam where I'm not entirely sure how to move forward. Don't allow your overarching morals defeat the inner journey of your characters, and let their problems be the driving force of the story sometimes. I think in your call to arms, to write mythic Fantasy again, I would add my own voice by saying: "Don't forget the individual". My character has a more prominent internal struggle than a struggle between countries (though this is interwoven into the text, too). The morality I add into my stories tends towards the personal, too, which I think is indicative of more recent Fantasy over 'traditional' tales like LoTR. I think this comes from reading 'Eragon' when I was younger and worrying that I would sound too much like a LoTR rip-off like Paolini's work does. When I write my own, I tend to go for a more Grey style because I find that feels more adult to me, and I hate the idea of writing something that sounds childish when it's read. Not to say I no longer like B&W Fantasy, though. The Grey Fantasy on the other hand, I enjoy much more as an adult. When I was younger, the Good vs Evil morality was my Fantasy of choice and I think it they're good tales for children to read. I think there's definitely a place for both styles of Fantasy, as you point them out. The tone was great, and I think you approached the topic in a great way.Īs for the ideas. ![]() ![]() ![]() INFO Created subprocess 17248 from cmd line "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Planetary Annihilation Titans\bin_圆4\server.exe" -headless -allow-lan -game-mode PAExpansion1:Config -enable-crash-reporting -disable-replays -output-dir "C:\Users\yaa\AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation" -download-dir "C:\Users\yaa\AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\download\\" -mount-zips ,] -ubernet-url -monitor-url -mt-enabledįor my linux host I am using a default basic pa.sh script as specified in the public guides. The game was released in 2014, and the stand-alone expansion Planetary Annihilation: Titans was released in 2015. Hosting that manually with the server parameters outside of the local host check box did not work. Planetary Annihilation is a real-time strategy PC game originally developed by Uber Entertainment, whose staff included several video game industry veterans who worked on Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander. I then extracted the local server.exe parameters from the log from this session, just to compare against the parameters I was using on my linux host. The mods work locally this way so I expected the server parameters to show me something different. RTS JUST GOT BIGGER TITANS is the huge stand-alone expansion to the already massive-scale RTS Planetary Annihilation, which includes the base game and adds. To troubleshoot, I went to multiplayer and checked the 'host locally' box. Right now I just want to see queller AI show up, it does not.
